Description for Above the Clouds II
Although Above the Clouds II can sleep eleven people—and a four-legged friend or 2—when you have a full house, it will never feel crowded. In addition to four bedrooms, the three-story lodge includes a huge wraparound deck with a hot tub, a game room, a great room, and a spacious sunroom. There’s plenty of space for everyone to gather together, as well as plenty of spaces where you can retreat for some private time.

The sunroom is the most spectacular of the rooms. Walls of windows allow you to admire the majestic Smoky Mountains whether you’re sprawled out on a sofa or eating at the dining table, which seats six. The cathedral ceiling adds to the airy, laid-back ambience. The sunroom includes a desk, in case you need to catch up on work or email during your stay; Above the Clouds II has free WiFi as well.

A second dining area is in the great room. This pub-style table seats four, and there’s room for three more at the adjacent breakfast bar, which separates the dining area from the kitchen. Open and well equipped, the kitchen has all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you’ll need, whether you’re reheating leftovers from the previous night’s restaurant meal or cooking an entire Thanksgiving dinner from scratch.

Thanks to the open layout of the great room, even while you’re creating a culinary masterpiece you can still join in on the fun in the living area. As well as two sumptuous sofas, the living area includes an armoire that holds the TV, the VCR/DVD player, and the radio/CD player. On brisk winter evenings you’ll want to gather by the fireplace, hot cocoa or Irish coffee in hand.

The downstairs game room has its own fireplace, along with a regulation-size pool table. If shooting pool isn’t your thing, you can still enjoy hanging out down here. There are numerous board games to choose from, a TV, and a plush couch tailor-made for stretching out on.

Of the four bedrooms, three are furnished with a king-size bed, and all four have their own television. The master bedrooms are large and elegantly furnished, with ample storage and lustrous wood-planked walls and beamed ceilings. One of the upstairs bedrooms opens directly onto a deck, so that you can slip outside to watch the sunrise without waking any of the others. The fourth bedroom is a cozy nook with bunk beds that the kids are sure to love. In addition, Above the Clouds II has a futon that sleeps two and a sofa chair for one more guest.

The deck is just as inviting as the interior of Above the Clouds II. Wooden rockers let you watch falcons soar above the mountains and listen to larks and sparrows in perfect comfort. Little ones will have a blast with the deck’s playhouse. A roomy table enables you to dine alfresco; the crisp mountain breeze will transform even a simple meal of soup and sandwiches into a special-occasion feast. For true luxury, end your evening with a soak in the hot tub beneath the star-studded sky. It just might be a highlight of your vacation.

Because Above the Clouds II is located at the end of a private cul-de-sac, it feels blissfully secluded. Yet, it’s actually conveniently close to myriad activities and attractions. Since the lodge is within the upscale Cobbly Nob community, when you stay here in the summer you’ll have free access to two pool areas. Bent Creek Golf Course, designed by champion Gary Player, is less than a mile away. In less than fifteen minutes, you can drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Smoky Mountains Arts & Crafts Community. And in just twenty, minutes you can be in downtown Gatlinburg, home to thrill rides, an aquarium, arcades, restaurants, and more.

In short, Above the Clouds II has the serenity, comfort, convenience, and beauty to ensure an idyllic vacation. Don’t miss out; book your stay today.

Reviews for Above the Clouds II
Cozy and Quiet with Amazing Views
This cabin is super roomy. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the different views. It is a little dated in the bathroom and the stairs are a little narrow to go up and down but the views from the balcony are amazing. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and taking in the beauty of the surroundings. Jackson Mountain homes is very friendly. They called to let us know one of the pools was going to be closed but the other 2 were available. They also checked on us during our stay to make sure everything was ok and to see if we needed anything.

Great
Cabin looks just like the pictures. View is worth the drive. The kitchen is well equipt for anything A few minor thing's : 3 of us slipped on the plush carpet on the stairs . The TV needs more children's programs or cartoon DVDs . The light switches take some time to figure out (which one goes to what). The patio door is difficult to lock. A wall plug at the end of the bar needs attention. Make sure to use the Golf Creek Road, the other (Martha Mc??) way is very narrow.

Beautiful view, very nice cabin.
The deck looks over the Smoky Mountain Park for a fantastic view. The cabin is just like the pictures, no surprises. There are close neighbors but you won't know they are there. Use the Golf Creek Rd. , the Martha McCarter Rd, is a narrow goat path. The patio door lock is a bit difficult. Do be careful, the plush carpet on the stairs is slippery, Could use more children's TV programs on cable or DVD. The light switches were confusing and some loose wall receptacles need replacing. (all little inconvenient problems) The kitchen is well stocked, the beds very comfortable. A restful enjoyable stay would stay again..... Oh, and be sure to bring a phone charger, something (high altitude? )will drain the batteries.

The Most Wonderful Stay
Fabulous, beautiful views, quiet. Our family didn’t wanna ever leave to go do things because they were just having so much fun there. The house was just so beautiful and the views-it was just amazing. It was the most wonderful stay we’ve had yet in Tennessee. Was quite a hike up there but it was well worth it.

Amazing views and a great value for this location!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Above the Clouds! The views from the back deck could not have been any better! The hot tub was an added bonus that my whole family enjoyed. My only suggestion would be to maybe have the couches professionally cleaned as they did have odors from pets. Aside from that, we were very pleased and would rent here again!
