Description for A Bear Creek
They say you can’t please all the people all the time—but A Bear Creek comes pretty darn close! Nestled among towering old-growth trees, this five-bedroom house has amenities for all ages: a large yard, air hockey and arcade games, a hot tub, a new flat panel TV in each of its five bedrooms, free WiFi, and much more.

With its log walls, slate tiles, and hardwood floors, Bear Creek is fashioned after traditional Western lodges. Because all its rooms are on the same floor, with just one step leading to the entry, it’s a good choice for families with young children and for anyone with mobility issues. The yard is fairly flat, with no steep drop-offs, making it a safe area for the kids to play. There’s also a large picnic table and a grill large enough to cook eighteen burgers, so you can make the most of the lush setting by barbecuing and dining outdoors.

Another way to savor the fresh mountain air is to kick back on the porch rockers or swing. Or perhaps best of all, luxuriate in the deck’s hot tub, which can accommodate up to eight people at once. There’s something magical about relaxing amid steamy, bubbling water while listening to songbirds during the day or admiring the stars at night.

Large windows enable you to enjoy the vistas even while you’re indoors. All five bedrooms let you wake up to the sunshine. Two bedrooms are furnished with a pair of queen-size beds; another two have two full beds each. Then there’s the master bedroom, with its sumptuous king-size bed. What’s more, the sofa in the great room opens into beds for two. All told, twenty people can spend the night.

The bedrooms, like the rest of A Bear Creek, are decorated with a delightful combination of comfortable seating, hand-painted furniture, antiques, and one-of-a-kind accents. No need to walk on eggshells, though: This house was designed for kicking back, having fun, and relaxing.

The great room, for instance, includes what might be the most comfortable couches you've ever sat, stretched out, or napped on. Add to that the well-cushioned armchairs and a thick rug, and you’ve got a space where everyone can gather to watch TV, play a game, or catch up on old times and get ready to make new memories. The room is even more welcoming (if that’s possible!) in winter when the gas fireplace casts a warm, golden glow.

The dining table can seat up to ten people comfortably, and there’s room for another five at the adjacent breakfast bar. If you’re vacationing with kids, they’ll love to eat “by themselves” at the bar while the adults linger at the table.

A breakfast bar is also a great place for friends to keep the cook company or help with meal prep, as it faces the kitchen. A Bear Creek’s kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, gadgets, and tableware; there’s even a dishwasher to make cleanup a breeze.

The most popular room in the house will no doubt be the game room. Hold an air-hockey tournament, battle the kids at the multi-game arcade table or the stand-up arcade, listen to music, watch TV… You could probably while away most of your vacation in this room!

Though if you did, you’d be missing out on the local attractions and entertainment. Downtown Gatlinburg, with its restaurants, museums, and amusements, is less than ten minutes away by car. Also, close by is the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, an eight-mile trail of more than a hundred galleries, studios, and craft shops. And let’s not forget the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, Dollywood, and so much more.

If you’ve been searching for the ideal destination for a multifamily, multi-generation vacation, a reunion of friends from high school, an off-site company gathering, or a church retreat, you’ve just found it. Don’t let it get away; reserve your stay at A Bear Creek today!

Reviews for A Bear Creek
The house and location was great. Plenty of room for our family of eighteen. We had lot of fun and will use Jackson mountain homes the next we are in the area.

Perfect, perfect perfect!!! All I can say, can't wait to go back!
The cabin was just the right size for our group. 10 people I think is max you would want to stay in this cabin. Everyone had their own bedroom and the kitchen table was great! We all had our own space. I spent a lot of time in game room playing my "old school" video games.  I really loved everything about this cabin. We had such a great experience renewing our 10 year wedding vows in front of the beautiful fireplace and our dear friend.s

An awesome cabin for a large family
We were there for my family vacation - mom, brothers and their families and my family. It was perfect for us!! Game room was a huge attraction for kids of all ages. Only downfall was the lack of internet service at the cabin .. but understand that happens in the mountains. Great stay!

Great Family Springbreak!
The cabin was great. It was easy to access the front door and hot tub. We could not find the hockey puck for the air hockey table and the management brought us a new as soon as we called. We had a blast playing the video arcade games, poker at the card table, and air hockey. We explored the Gatlinburg area during the day, but always came home to the cabin for dinner and family time. Lots of dishes and serving pieces! Comfortable furniture and rocking chairs. Three coffee pots! WiFi was not the best if several people were on it at the same time.
