Rest and relaxation await Located in Wears Valley—sometimes called the “quiet side of the Smokies”—Scenic Solitude offers 4 bedrooms, comfortable furnishings, plenty of space to spread out, and a thickly wooded, private setting.
Luxuriate in the lower decks hot tub The fresh mountain breeze is an ideal complement to the hot tubs steamy jets of water. Especially after a day of hiking, rafting, or fishing, youll relish a soothing soak.
The wraparound deck is huge The main deck wraps around the entire cabin, offering panoramic views of the woodlands and the ridges and mountains just beyond.
Warm up by the fire Nothings cozier on a chilly evening than nestling around the fireplace. Scenic Solitudes plush seating and beamed ceiling add to the welcoming, homey ambience.
Make yourself at home Whether youre watching a movie on the flatscreen HDTV, playing Uno with the kids, or catching up on social media via the free WiFi, youll loving doing so in the rustic yet refined great room.
Into the woods The burnished woodplanked floors and walls, the log staircase, and the open floor plan are everything you want from a cabin in the woods.
Table for 6, right this way The dining table easily seats 6, and at least that many can enjoy a meal at the decks picnic table as well.
The fully equipped kitchen With its stainlesssteel appliances, cookware, gadgets, and tableware, the kitchen has just about everything you need. All you have to bring are food and an appetite.
Roundtheclock convenience Even if you eat most of your meals in the many local restaurants, you cant beat the convenience of having a coffeemaker for your morning cup of joe and a fridge to keep wine and juice boxes cold.
Cue up the fun If you dont know how to play pool, theres no better place to learn than in Scenic Solitudes private game room.
The spacious game room When youre not playing pool or air hockey in the game room, hang out and watch TV, read, or sprawl out on the floor and play Candyland with the kids.
Extra guests welcome The game rooms sofa opens into a bed for 2. All told, Scenic Solitude can sleep up to 12 people.
Take a break The game room has a wet bar, so you dont have to run upstairs for a beverage if you work up a thirst shooting pool or playing air hockey.
One of the 2 upstairs bedrooms The top floor of Scenic Solitude consists of 2 ensuite bedrooms separated by a reading nook for extra privacy.
Turn in early, sleep late The bedrooms are so peaceful and comfortable, you may want to skip the nightlife and snuggle into bed early. Go right ahead—youre on vacation, after all
A bathroom for each bedroom Because each bedroom—2 upstairs, one on the main floor, and one downstairs—has its own full bathroom, everyone will be able to get ready to start the day without waiting on line to take a shower.
The 2nd upstairs bedroom Once you see how comfy and charming the bedrooms are, you might want to skip heading out for the night and instead turn in early.
Sweet dreams Leave the bedroom window open a crack and let the crisp mountain air and the chirping of crickets lull you to sleep… then in the morning wake to sunlight and the singing of chickadees and sparrows.
Let the sunshine in A window looking out over the treetops makes even something as routine as brushing your teeth feel a little more pampering.
A reading nook Upstairs between the 2 bedrooms is a quiet reading nook. Curl up in an armchair with a stack of magazines or your laptop, or sit down with a friend for a onetoone chat.
All 4 bedrooms have queensize beds You dont have to worry about drawing the short straw when choosing a bedroom All 4 of Scenic Solitudes bedrooms have a queensize bed and a full bathroom.
Another ensuite bathroom Have we mentioned that Scenic Solitude has 4 full bathrooms in all
The 4th bedroom and the 4th queensize bed In addition to queensize beds in the 4 bedrooms, one of the game rooms sofas opens into a queensize bed, and air mattresses can sleep 2 more people.
Weve got you covered Youll find plenty of clean towels when you arrive at Scenic Solitude—no need to pack your own. In fact, because the cabin has its own washer and dryer, you can pack extra light.
An ensuite bathroom In addition to the private shower, the bedroom has a sink right in the room, which is especially convenient when getting ready to hit the hay.
The great outdoors In addition to more than 1,000 square feet of deck, Scenic Solitude has a huge yard the kids will love running around in.
Alfresco dining Not only can you cook outdoors, on the decks gas grill, but you can dine outside as well. The singing of birds is the perfect background music for your meal.
Smoky Mountain state of mind Kick back on a deck rocker with a beverage, watch the sundappled trees sway in the breeze, and take a deep breath of the crisp mountain air Relaxation is practically guaranteed
Take a stroll Start your day with a walk along the tree and shrubflanked paths surrounding the cabin. You might spy chipmunks, deer, turkeys—and maybe even bears in the woods.
Pictureperfect The mountains and woods make an idyllic background for selfies. Your friends back home will be so jealous
The national park is only minutes away You can drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in just a few minutes Scenic Solitude is only a couple of miles from a “secret”—and much less crowded—entrance.
Misty mountain morning Its worth waking up early at least once to watch the sunrise over the mountains through the morning mist.
Frolic in the park Scenic Solitude is located in Wear Valleys Homestead community, which has its own private park for residents and guests only.
Paved roadways and nature trails Unlike some of the more secluded areas, the Homestead community has wide, wellmaintained roads as well as walking trails that pass by streams and waterfalls.
Pack a picnic The community park includes a covered pavilion with plenty of picnic tables and restrooms, which will come in handy if you decide to go for a hike rather than head straight back to the cabin.

Scenic Solitude is a nature lover's delight. Surrounded by thick woodlands punctuated by walking trails and well-paved roads, the 4-bedroom log cabin features a wraparound deck so that you can savor panoramic views of the trees and the Great Smoky Mountains just beyond. What’s more, the cabin is just a few miles from a “secret”—and therefore little-used—entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Being surrounded by nature’s grandeur doesn’t mean you have to rough it, however. Scenic Solitude offers plenty of conveniences and luxuries. Take its downstairs game room: This large, inviting space includes a regulation-size pool table and air hockey, along with a flat-panel TV and 2 wonderfully comfortable sofas for kicking back and relaxing.

The great room, one flight up on the main level, is another comfortable space perfect for hanging out with your family or friends. Like the rest of Scenic Solitude, it’s decorated in classic mountain cabin fashion, with log-style furnishing and plush seating among lustrous wood-planked walls, floors, and beamed ceilings. On chilly winter evenings, the stacked-stone fireplace will add to the homey ambiance, whether you’re watching a movie on the flat-screen TV, surfing the web via the free WiFi, or playing Pictionary.

The dining area seats 6 people comfortably, and the adjacent kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you’ll need, whether you’re hosting a holiday feast or brewing that essential morning cup of coffee. The kitchen includes a dishwasher—and the cabin has a washer and dryer too, for maximum convenience.

Scenic Solitude’s 4 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms are spread out among its 3 floors. The downstairs and main floor each have a bedroom and a bathroom; the remaining 2 en-suite bedrooms are on the top floor, separated by a cozy reading nook for optimal privacy. Each bedroom includes a queen-size bed, so if you’re vacationing with other couples you don’t have to worry about anyone drawing the short straw when it comes to accommodations. Should you have additional guests, one of the game room sofa’s opens into a queen-size bed and the cabin has 2 air mattresses as well, so that up to 12 people can spend the night.

As restful as Scenic Solitude’s rooms are, you’ll probably be spending much, if not most, of your time outside on its covered decks. The lower deck is home to the hot tub. Though its massaging jets of steamy water are especially soothing after a day spent hiking, biking, fishing, or rafting, any time is a good one to treat yourself to a luxurious soak. During the day wrens and warblers will regale you with their songs; at night the hoots of owls are ideal background music as you gaze out at the star-studded sky. The main deck, which wraps around the entire cabin, has plenty of rocking chairs so that everyone can revel in the fresh mountain breeze rustling through the sun-dappled trees. There’s a dining area too, so that you can enjoy your meals alfresco, and a grill. The cabin has a large backyard as well, where the kids can run around if they still have the energy to burn after a day spent at Dollywood or WonderWorks.

Scenic Solitude is located in the Homestead community of Wears Valley, which is sometimes described as the “quiet side of the Smokies.” The community has walking trails that pass by streams and waterfalls. There’s also a private park with a covered pavilion with picnic tables, so you can stop in the middle of your explorations for lunch.

If you’re looking for peace, privacy, and the chance to be at one with nature while making lasting memories with family and friends, you’ll love Scenic Solitude. So go ahead and book your stay today; we’re looking forward to seeing you.
