Fishing East Tennessee Smoky Mountains

Fishing Regulations (Non-Residents). Fishing licenses are required anywhere you fish in the state of Tennessee. This includes the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Fishing is permitted year-round in the park, from 30 minutes before sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset. Certain streams are closed to fishing and are posted for your notice in order to protect threatened fish. If you fish, or attempt to take fish (including crayfish) or if you assist someone else in doing so, you must have a valid fishing license.

Exception(s): Children (resident or nonresident) under the age of 13 do not require a fishing license.

Tennessee holds a FREE Fishing Day each year, No fishing license is required, resident or non-resident, this year the date is June 9th, 2007. Children, ages 15 and under, can fish free for the week of June 9-15, 2007.

• Three-Day Fishing (Type 077) No trout___ $16.50

• Three-Day All Fish (Type 078) ______ $33.50
• Ten-Day All Fish (Type 080) ______ $50.50
• Annual All Fish (Type 081) _______ $81.00
